A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Nate Cowie

I was raised on Vancouver Island and fell in love with carpentry when I was offered the chance to work on a custom home project as a teenager. Attending a private university preparatory school meant that most people around me were not choosing to enter into the trades, but luckily for me my family encouraged me to follow my passion, something I will be forever grateful for.

I spent time building custom homes on the island before moving to Canmore Alberta, where I was involved in the construction of Elevation Place. Since moving to Calgary in 2012 I have worked on multiple commercial locations in Calgary and taken on decks and renovations when time has allowed . Although I have enjoyed working for a large company, the further you climb the less carpentry you get to do. 

After my wife and I welcomed our second child, we decided it was time for a change. The Cowie Co. is allowing me to satisfy my creative side, to keep my hands busy and to work directly with local clients to turn their ideas into reality. I love that my work creates something tangible, that in years to come I will still be able to see my mark.
